Skills Development

The Academy’s programmes are developed to equip our students with the technical and business skills they need to access opportunities within the agriculture sector, as well as the life skills that will give them access to a career and make them an asset to the industry as a whole.

We achieve the above by providing training in the following skills and areas through accredited NQF level 1-4 short courses:

  • Plant Production
  • Mixed Farming

Our Learning Interventions

“Literacy is the most basic currency of the knowledge economy” - Barack Obama

Through our work in the rural communities, we have discovered that illiteracy remains an obstacle to the growth and empowerment of the farmworkers.

At the Academy, we believe in true transformation and the holistic education of our students. In addition to the skills development, through technical farming skills, we do with them, we have implemented learning interventions for business management and life skills for them.
